Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital – Dallas is a Magnet®-recognized, fully accredited hospital serving residents of more than ten cities in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
The hospital opened in 2002 as the first North Texas hospital dedicated solely to the care and treatment of heart and vascular patients. The hospital is located near downtown Dallas adjacent
to Baylor University Medical Center, part of Baylor Scott & White Health. Providing inpatient and outpatient services focused on preventive heart health and comprehensive cardiovascular
disease management, patients travel nationally and internationally for the specialists on the medical staff and the hospital’s cardiovascular programs and services.

Aortic Center
The Aortic Center, a part of Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital – Dallas, focuses on treating complex conditions related to aortic disease. Early diagnosis, appropriate
medical management, and surgical options, including minimally invasive surgery or open surgical treatment, involve a multidisciplinary team of specialists on the medical staff. Cardiac
surgeons and vascular surgeons on the medical staff who have experience with technically demanding procedures and the complexity of circulatory issues collaborate to provide quality care to
their patients.
Our Cardiac Rehabilitation program can help you recover from a cardiovascular event, such as heart attack, as well as cardiovascular procedures, such as bypass surgery or angioplasty and
stenting. This multi-phased program utilizes an interdisciplinary team of medical professionals to create a program of individualized and specific physical activity as well as education. Our
program can provide you with the necessary knowledge to adopt heart-healthy lifestyle habits to prevent future cardiovascular problems.
Our experts diagnose cardiovascular disorders using quick, safe, and pain-free methods. We were the first department in North Texas to offer 64-slice CT scanning. We also specialize in
cerebrovascular and abdominal ultrasound for aneurysm detection.
The Center for Valve Disorders, as part of Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital – Dallas, provides a comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis and treatment plan for patients with
any type of valvular heart disease. A multidisciplinary team of interventional cardiologists, noninvasive cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and cardiac imaging specialists combine
medical quality with advanced technology to diagnose and treat aortic, mitral, pulmonic and tricuspid valve disease.
A congenital heart defect is a malformation of the heart or major blood vessels that is present at birth. Because both repaired and unrepaired congenital heart defects frequently lead to
problems later on in life, all adults with congenital heart disease need to be evaluated by an adult congenital heart disease specialist and require follow-up cardiac care throughout their
lives.
The electrophysiology program at Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital – Dallas provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for patients with abnormal heart
rhythms. Physicians on the medical staff specially-trained in cardiac electrophysiology work closely with an experienced team of nurses and nurse practitioners to provide evaluation and
treatment using advanced healthcare technology and evidence-based techniques, including medication therapy, catheter-based procedures and surgery.

disorders, including atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, and ventricular tachycardia. We offer a wide range of treatment options, including pacemakers, implantable defibrillators,
and advanced ablation techniques, including magnetic catheter ablation.

Our staff of non-invasive cardiologists is dedicated to the quick and accurate diagnosis of heart disorders using non-invasive techniques, including ultrasound,
electrocardiography, and stress tests.
The Cardiovascular Surgery Program, specifically "open heart surgery," is committed to offering patients a wide range of treatment options, from minimally invasive interventions to
complex invasive cardiac procedures. The surgeons on the medical staff specialize in treating valve disease, congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, and more.
